This San Francisco half dollar is from the estate of a Texas collector who purchased many coins from a Virginia mail order company that is widely known for the unfortunate practice of chemically dipping coins. The coin retains sharp detail with wear and light marks consistent with the basic AU grade. One slightly more significant scratch on the obverse right field.
