Description: Offered is an antique letter draft page done by, and autographed by William Lanier Washington. He was a decendent of President George Washington's family, and was famous for selling much of the President's relics in auctions in 1921 and 1922. This is page 5 of a draft letter done on a typewriter and autographed by Washington at the conclusion. The paper is typical thin typewriter paper of the early 1900's, and this was from 1908. WL Washington's signature is usually found on certificates of authenticity from the 1920's auctions of George Washington's relics that W. L. sold, but this is from his own personal writings, making it quite unusual and rare. The page size is 13" by 8", and it is in used condition with a center fold and wrinkling of the paper on the top. W. Lanier also made a period pen correction as seen in the photo. The signature is bold and done in ink. It will be shipped as folded, and the Shipping is Free. Look at our auction list for More old-time antique rarities and collectibles!
