Southworth, although authentic to the period, looks like it could be stamped or made by one of the autopens (I think they called them), It is unusual to say the least. Many are index cards. Some old GPCs. Some scrapbook pages and lastly a nice group of real photo cards. The Paul Burris photo is unsigned. His sig is included on another piece. There is a great Vern Bickford sig and Tommy Holmes on an old color magazine photo. The Eddie Stanky and Sibby Sisti are incredible. Some real toughies in here. Jim Prendergast & Al Lyons to name a couple. Si Johnson included even though he was not on the team that year. He appears on the team linen postcard. Most likely he was there for the photo just before the season's opening and then was gone. Sorry, Si! But we have you in this lineup anyway. George Young who is pictured on that same team postcard has no record of actually playing for the 1948 Braves.
