Description: 1962 Fender 6G6 Bassman The chassis code is "BP01170" which dates it to early 1962. All of the pots date to 1961 (304-6113 to 6134), the output transformer is from June 1961 (606-1-25) and the original Oxford speakers are from July 1961 (465-131). The only odd thing is there is a date stamp on the back from October 1965 and the power transformer may be from 1965 (just has "6516" on the back and no other markings). I think it was repaired by Fender in 1965 which would explain the date stamp, but I don't know for sure.The amp is in very good condition overall and is all original aside from the caps, jacks, tubes and cord. These were replaced in January 2024 and it was fully serviced. It's in excellent working condition and sounds great! The tolex and grill cloth are original and have some general wear, but no major tears or other issues.I list some of my items on both eBay and Reverb.
