The Lion Lincoln University Lincoln University, PA 1965-1969 First Edition Though unmarked, these copies originate from the collection of Marvin Wachman (1917-2007), who served as the President of Lincoln University at the time. I acquired them from Marvin Wachman's daughter, Lynn, along with a substantial number of items associated with Marvin Wachman. Five quartos, publisher's original boards, illustrated throughout with photographs. Minimal wear, else in very good + condition. Lincoln University, chartered in 1854 as the Ashmun Institute, holds the distinction of being the first degree-granting historically black university in the United States.
