This piece was handed out by Neal Cassady on 10/31/66 and Paul Foster did the handwritten calligraphy along with the art, he also did the art for the very famous Acid Test poster featuring the house band, The Grateful Dead. This diploma is only one of the few examples floating around out there with a name on it. some blanks have sold in the past for 10K, but so far, I believe that Jerry Garcia's, Mountain Girls, and Lee's are the few that have circulated with names on them. This event was initially supposed to be held at Winterland, but ended up being held at a warehouse in SF instead. This amazing piece of psychedelic history measures 11x8.5.
