1971 CHICAGO BEARS Vintage Riddell Kra-Lite Old Football Helmet Lamp Rare!

Description: Up For Auction is an original vintage 1971 CHICAGO BEARS KRA-LITE RIDDELL HELMET LAMP -w/ RARE ORIGINAL WHITE LETTER "C" This one was made in '71 as shown by the date stamp inside the helmet. Condition: THIS HELMET HAS SEEN LOTS OF ACTION!! Many party's and spilled beer, road games, home games, wins & losses for sure, but this one has come out a true SURVIVOR!! This still has all it's original decals intact, and still has the original ear pads inside. Some oxidation to the finish in areas but overall excellent for it's age (See Pics). Original 2 prong cord, and brass lamp stem w/ no shade. Some wear and tear w/ lots of bumps and bruises just like the real deal! The wood base has some finish wear, but has recently been cleaned and restored with lemon oil and looks great. Like Gail Sayers, Dick Butkus, and George Halas THIS ONE IS A TRUE "WARRIOR", just waiting to be displayed in someone's personal hall of fame, or Den or Office!!!! Note: I will not separate, or piece out this 53 year old beauty, selling this completely intact (minus shade) so someone can hopefully enjoy this!! (it would be criminal to not keep this together imho!) SOME INFORMATION: Riddell helmet lamps manufactured between 1969 and 1973 used actual game helmets which were made for the NFL teams, so the decals and striping are original and vintage team issued. These lamps were available by mail order through The Sears Wishbook. When ordered, RIDDELL simply removed the suspension padding from the helmet and replaced the rivets before assembling the helmet into a lamp to ship out.The 1971 Chicago Bears season was their 52nd regular season completed in the National Football League.
