Some beautiful painting here on a split panel dating c 1780. We feel the painting is quite possibly signed to the sign post in the road. Age- c1780 Size- 34 by 25 inches approx including frame Medium- Oil on wooden panel. Frame- Later wooden frame, some light knocks and losses, offered free with the painting. Condition- The painting is in generally very good given its age. Slight panel split middle right, some thinner paint areas and the odd paint chip visible. Light varnish browning. Signature- Perhaps indistinctly on the road sign.
