Featuring a simple, round wood hood with decorative banding, it seats over a beautifully carved stylized design - I believe this is called a "feathered four-leaf clover". Condition is very nice with very minor age related usage marks to the interior housing from rubbing by the insert. Wood is without cracks, chips, worm holes or damage - wonderful darkened patina from age and usage - finish wear to the knob end from handling.
