Description: This antique batter jug is inches tall. The opening is 4.25 inches in diameter. The bottom of the jug is 6.25 inches in diameter. The wood bail handle is fully intact, but its black paint is worn. This black handle is characteristic of Swets Pennsylvania Dutch crocks, so that’s the best identification I can make. The metal does show some rusting on the bail handle. The top fits snuggly but is rusting as shown. The jug is marked #4.. The body of the crock is in good shape. I have found one chip on the lip and one hairline crack. Please refer to photos as they are a large part of the description. Shipping via USPS ground.
