Description: UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA Antique Marching Band Hat Wool, Leather with Brass Badge Very old wool and leather marching band hat / cap from the University of Minnesota. Features heather-blue wool material throughout with black and tan leather brim. There is a metal (brass?) badge / pin on the frontside that is removable. The badge is embossed with the following: ”University of Minnesota” with a crest reading “Omnibus, Artibus, Commune, Vinculum”. There are also two brass-colored buttons on either side of the brim that are detailed with an American eagle. The hat was apparently made by “Palace” which is printed on the inside top material. The inside is heavily worn with what appears to be the original silk-like lining. It is ripped, taped in one spot and generally worn. The outside wool has two small holes as pictured. This is a smaller sized hat. Otherwise, a very cool and uncommon find. Sold AS-IS. Please review the photos as the item pictured is the one you will receive.
