Description: Here is a Vintage Victorian Silhouette Cameo like Portrait Hand Painted with Luster Pin / Brooch. I believe the pin is a ceramic base with a light yellow luster paint and a handpainted silhouette. The silhouette is of a young lady in a fine frilly Victorian dress. There appears to be a bird in the sky, and it looks like she is holding another. It is approximately 2" x 3". It has a C clasp with a pin that sticks out past the Brooch, making the back of the pin date from 1850-1910. I cannot tell if the ceramic portrait is newer or been repainted, but the back is antique. I have never seen a representation of a woman like this during that time period but I still have a lot to learn. I've worked with jewelry for years, but I am still no expert, so please feel free to ask any questions or even correct me if I am wrong in any aspect, I appreciate it!
