Description: This was drawn and engraved expressly for Harper's Weekly Magazine. It was printed and sold as a supplement to the Harpers Weekly, September 30, 1876, for the 100th anniversary Centennial Celebration in Philadelphia. the title is "The Centennial - Balloon Views of the Grounds". The method of printing was cold pressed lithography, the gold standard of the time. The paper is old and fragile but in remarkably good shape. It was taped with archival tape on the back where some tears were developing. There are no absent sections of the paper. It is a rare find in this condition.
