Description: Barbara Cotillion: Style 100631: this high leg, mid rise thongboy is in sheer ivory mesh embroidered with leaves with a lot of movement in them and with varieties of embroidery to show off the back and front of the leaves. Cotillion is an eighteenth century French dance and this embroidery reminds me of the dance of leaves in the wind, controlled yet full of twistings and turnings. The pattern is very joyful, the colours are in pink, soft green, soft beige, soft turquoise, like the flavours in ice cream. The thongboy fits well and is full of fun and whimsy. THE FRONT:The main front panel runs from the hip sides, down, over the gusset to the back gusset seam. This sheer ivory mesh is embroidered with long leaves. The front leg sides and the waistband have the ivory embroidered mesh folded in and secured to flat ivory elastic inside with large ivory zig-zag stitches. The gusset is lined with ivory Jersey Cotton. THE BACK:From the side seams the back panel of ivory mesh widens down to the centre covered with beautiful embroidered leaves, these fold over each other at the bottom of the panel, forming pretty shapes against the skin. A beautiful vertical corsage of different organza and satin ribbons are sewn to the centre top of this section, the colours of the ribbons reflect the colours of the leaves and each one is different in weave, width, texture and colour. The top of this corsage rises over the top of the back panel. This back panel is sewn over the plain ivory microfibre thong stem which reaches down to the back gusset seam, its edges lined inside with flat elastic, secured with large ivory zig-zag stitching. The waistband at the back and front has the ivory mesh turned in and this is edged inside with ivory flat elastic with a fine ribbed. The exact material of the thongboy is made of 60%Polyamide, 25%Polyester, 14%Cotton,1%Elastane. It is a delightful thong, sheer yet warm, intriguing, yet not totally transparent. The retail price was £25.00. New and unused. This may be machine or hand washed at 40 degrees, no ironing, no bleach, line dry.
