Description: BARBARELLA - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack - PROMO by Bob Ludwig Near Mint Description Offered is an unusual pressing of The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack for Barbarella. As described more fully below - this is a rare Monarch Pressing Plant Promo Edition in Stereo, and is an early mastering by the legendary Robert Ludwig. Robert (Bob) Ludwig was to Stereo LP Pressings as Rudy Van Gelder was to the preceeding generation of Mono Pressings. For those familiar with Bob Ludwig's fabulous Mastering Work, his signature "RL" appears in the deadwax matrixes as an identifier. Interestingly, the earliest work of Bob is indicated by a lower case r ("rL") etched into the deadwax matrixes. For his later work, he used the more familiar upper case R ("RL") instead. We have included a photo of this in our Photo Gallery, and listed both of the full deadwax matrixes for Barbarella below. Most of the Promo releases are in Mono, and there are very few of these Stereo Promos available. The LP is in Investment Grade, Near Mint condition. Both sides of the LP surface retain all of their original gloss. Present is some light cosmetic sleevewear from the original paper inner sleeve, and a light hairline mark visible on Side A. We did a playgrade on this mark and heard no audio interference as it does not extend into the grooves. Bright, undamaged, Dark Blue and Silver Dynovoice Records Labels (please see photos). The Record shows exceptional care and handling. THE COVER : EXCELLENT EX : Please see photos / well-stored with some minor scuffing and some wrinkles / bright colors / all of the seams, including the spine, are intact / no writing, paper loss, paper tears, dirt, or stains.
