Description: A vintage mid century modern pottery figure of a warrior on horseback from Bitossi Ceramics. This piece is finished in the scavo decor which was meant to mimic the surface texture of an unearthed antiquity. This piece may be marked on the foot under the felt, but I have not removed it to investigate. There are no significant chips or cracks, but there are some spots which may be surface wear. It's hard to tell what's wear and what's just part of the scavo finish. Notably, there's a small mark on the back of the head and perhaps some wear to the tail. The original metal spear is missing.
