Description: Here is a pre-owned bronze medallion - possibly a wall plaque - showing a classical allegorical scene of Rome's founding with an angel carrying two boys -presumably Romulus and Remus. The medallion is captioned "Et Roma Fuit". (Translates something like "And Rome would be". ) The medallion measures about 4 7/8th inches in diameter and has a mounting tip on the back, but no bolt or other hardware. It is not signed or otherwise marked. Light wear but overall nice condition. Please see the pictures and ask any questions. Thank you for looking. (Inv A26,825)
