Description: BUCHERER CO. LADOR, SWITZERLAND ~SWISS MUSICAL WIND-UP CABINET/MANTEL ALARM CLOCK playing DR. ZHIVAGO #2844, WORKING & SIGNED with ORIGINAL PAPER LABEL on bottom. It has wind-up movement made by the Bucherer Co. of Switzerland who had been established in 1888 by Carl Friedrich Bucherer having had opened a watch and jewelry firm at that time in Switzerland, and had later incorporated into the firm the famous Rolex Company in 1924. IT IS IN VERY GOOD ORIGINAL CONDITION AND IS WORKING with original parts.~The small cabinet/mantel clock manually winds at the back with all original pieces-parts-and original winding keys (see pics) to wind up the time, the hands, the song, and the pull-out alarm which is the musical theme song from 'Dr. Zhivago' as is signified by the original company paper label affixed at bottom of clock which reads: LADOR SWITZERLAND DR. ZHIVAGO 2844 (see pics). The clock is numbered as well number #2844 (see pic provided).works well, but there is no alarm and music, it should be need adjusted needs to be wound manually when it slows which is how it is meant to work with the keys at the back. It should be noted that this is a delicate clock and care should be taken not to wind the clock too aggressively to maintain its sensitive movement. It works, functions, and runs properly. The clock is made for a cabinet or dresser or mantle and is petite in size and measures approx. 4.75" tall x 3.25" wide x 2.25" deep (with all keys included). It is comprised of hard cream-colored plastic with its original plastic front cover over face dial which reads the name of manufactured reading "BUCHERER" (see close-up pic provided). It has lovely green & gold metal hands and a gold minute hand which are all original to clock. It has lovely golden paint piping on feet and at edges and central round face (see pics). But the most lovely feature are the red, yellow, pink, blue flowers with green leaves in raised embossing on front lower and a small pink flower at front top (see pics). Face dial has little green dots and roman numerals and a music staff as well with a scrolled border (see pic close-up provided). Very good original condition with only some slight minimal wear and small scuffs to surfaces and to paint/finishes/cover (see all pics provided), no stains, deep abrasions or deep scratches, cracks, chips, dents, is clean.~Lovely original signed Bucherer Co.
