This display has placed inside a small Golgotha stone fragment that has been sealed onto the Widows Mite replica coin using a clear resin. The stone had been gathered from the site of Golgotha in Jerusalem and placed at the Anointing Stone and Blessed in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre before it was sent to me by my friend Evie who lives in Jerusalem. The glass display holder measures little over 1". The size and shape of each stone will vary as each is unique. The base of the display has a shiny mirror gold finish and it is hexagon shape. The lid is designed to turn spin freely without opening in order to open you will push down and twist. I have a large stone which I have broken it into smaller fragments that I use in my various prayer stones, pendants, relic cards and keepsake sculptures. This stone was gathered from the the site of Golgotha. The Anointing Stone also known as the Stone of Unction (that the Golgotha stone was placed on) is a large slab of stone placed inside the church of the Holy Sepulchre, between the Golgotha (the hill of the crucifixion of Jesus), and the Tomb of Jesus. By local tradition, on this rock Jesus' body was laid and prepared for burial. The stones were placed on this spot before sent to me.
