Description: Original CYRK (Circus in Polish) poster featuring the crowned lion in the throne. Lacking glass, when originally obtained it was broken, so we carefully removed it, and although the glass did not damage the poster, the lack of pressure and exposure to air is starting to—as now the poster is showing some bubbles, but I’m sure once glass is replaced it should be good again. The back has the official sticker from the Cyrk Company. Approx. 39 x 26.5 inches. Not a new reprint, this is an original. Printing likely done by screen printing, lithograph or stereograph. Artwork by Herbert Hilscher, who started the Cyrk posters in 1962 and continued through the 1970s, but the exact date of this image is unknown—likely circa 1970?
