Description: Selling off more of my collection. ==== Helios 103 50mm f1.8 in Contax RF mount. I serviced this lens this year (2024). Aperture has been declicked for videography purposes. Note I found two manufacturing inconsistencies with the lens: the spacer ring is not flat like it should be (see pictures), causing a rattle when the lens is shaken. The elements are centered correctly, and held in by screw-threaded retaining rings. The two screws holding the lens mount on are not the right size and extend slightly. This does not affect mounting (see pictures), but is unsightly. ----- Body: tarnishing on the mount, and the general mechanics are a tad sloppy. Iris: oil free, but wear patterns are present. Aperture adjustment: very smooth, and able to be done with a finger. Front element: relatively clear, no signs of cleaning marks. Rear element: relatively clear, no signs of cleaning marks. Middle elements: I repaired most of the schneideritis (black paint missing) that they had, but some spots remain. Dust is present though, despite my best efforts. Aperture adjustment: smooth throughout, and without click stops. ----- Test pictures were taken with my Pentax K-1 at ISO 1600, hand holding the lens until the image was in focus. The film pictures were taken with the Kiev II I am currently selling.
