Description: PLEASE READ ALL INFO. SOLD AS IS FOR PARTS OR REPAIR NO RETURNS. I acquired this printer and is was printing with toner smear and repeating horizontal lines. So, I took it apart to clean the cleaning blade on the transfer belt. In the process, the ribbons that connect the control panel and scanner were both damaged. (Didn't disconnect them before removing scanner assembly so it shot up when I removed the brackets and it ripped both ribbons out.) I cleaned out the little waste compartment and the blade and put it back together. The display would now only show blank. If I put something under the ribbon cable for the control panel to press it up against the pins the display will work, but it is picky. It is still printing with a horizontal repeating line/smear (see pics of printed reports) but the smearing went away. Not sure of cause of the repeating line. Also the scanner connection is obviously bad now too as I test copied a text page and it came out all green as shown in photos. The lamp was lighting up green when it was scanning because of the bad connection obviously. Again, those two ribbon connections are damaged. I don't know if they can be repaired. Page count is only about 10k, not a ton of use. These are awesome quality printers if you are able to repair it. SOLD AS IS WITH THESE ISSUES. FOR PARTS OR REPAIR ONLY. NO RETURNS.
