For intense heat, users can turn the elements up to 635 degrees Fahrenheit or lower the element-filled top closer to the food. As food cooks, grease runs off the food and into a collection tray below. To prevent food from sticking, users can add 1⁄2 inch of water to the tray, helping speed up the cleaning process at the end of the day.
