Description: FIVE TINY 0603 RED SURFACE MOUNT LEDs WITH 7 INCH PRE-WIRED LEADS. SMD means they are usually "Surface mounted". But with the 7 inch leads they can be used as you would any other led or lamp. These leds are very bright and very red! I had to bring the voltage way down just so I could take the picture. They are .8 mm x 1.60 mm. These are even smaller than our 1 mm l.5 V lights. They're also brighter and last for years longer than an incandescent lamp. Excellent for HO or N scale. They can be used for stop lights, car or truck tail lights, the light on the last car of a train, ditch lights, the flashing lights on top of the F40PH Amtrak engines, car headlights (we have them in bright white also), or just about anywhere you might want some very small lights. They're excellent to use with DCC (Digital Command Control) as they can be soldered directly to the appropriate point on your decoder.They are 1.8 V to 2.4 V, 15 - 20 ma. They can also be used with any where between 3 volts and 12 volts without any additional resistors. Note: The anode (positive) red lead is slightly longer than the cathode (negative) black lead.
