The map shows the world in two hemispheres and is still quite imprecise in certain areas, eg it still shows California as an island and extends the coast of North America far west towards Asia. Two sailing ships, a Dutch coat of arms, a "Maid of Dort" and some charts forther enrich the map. This genuine copper engraving measures 33 x 44 cm (plate size) and is in good condition.
