Born Gloria Eileen McEniry, she studied at Worcester Art Museum School before embarking upon Hollywood, where she found work in radio and commercials. She made her motion picture debut in the film "Sport of Kings" (1947) and followed this with the John Sturges picture "Keeper of the Bees" (1947) with Neil Hamilton. Over the next five-years, she was busy in second-features before playing 'Michele Malone' in the short-lived TV series "The Files of Jeffrey Jones" (1952). She appeared in the TV programs "Perry Mason" and "The Life of Riley" prior to her famed role in "Dennis the Menace." After a more-than ten-year absence from the small screen, she returned to television during the 1980s and had credits on "The Brady Brides," "Newhart" and "Dallas."
