Limoges France gravy boat with attached underplate; pattern is Schleiger 87D; wonderful oval shape with scalloped base and upper rim; finely decorated and gilded; length is 8.75 inches; width of the base is 5.875 inches; it appears to be in nearly perfect condition, exhibiting no wear, stains, damage or repairs; however, there is a very thin and light 1" hairline crack - barely noticeable - visible only on the underside of the base; fully marked; the Schleiger 87D pattern is one of the most collected and coveted patterns produced by Haviland, exhibiting exceptional artistic detail in the long stem pink roses and sprigs of lavender flowers; the gilding details are particularly fine.
