Description: Heckler and Koch Models 940 (30-06) 770 (.308) 630 (223) SL-6 (223) and SL7 (.308) RiflesFirst off these are not re-packaged Hockey pucks from that varmint call company. If memory serves they were an ugly color that made better door stoppers than buffers. HK no longer makes parts for these rifles, so wouldn’t you know the most wearable part on these rifles is the buffers. Between the constant pounding exerted on the buffer with each shot and the chemical cleaning solvent that migrates its way into the rubber. In time the rubber cracks and deteriorates. Protect your investment! These buffer plates are made to fit into the back of the lower receivers and buffer the bolt and firing pin recoil. Please refer to the pictures showing you the exact buffers being sold. I have included a picture showing fit and finish. As you can see these fit like a glove and are made of black solid rubber with the same flex and hardness of the originals. HK manufactured two different styles: one with stabilizer/ extrusions / knobs or nipples This auction is for Part # 220419 the Buffer plates without the nipples. These are quality. You are receiving them in their original packaging. I wouldn’t sell them if I wouldn’t use them myself. I do not have many of these for sale.NOTE * Some HK hunting rifle models have the metal holding clip that fits over both types of buffer plates and then there are models of rifles without metal clips, in combination with and without the nipples on the buffer plates. I do not know what you have presently in your rifle and will not guess to know. So please order the duplicate of what is on your rifle presently that works for you. If you have stripped down your rifle for cleaning then you already know it takes no time at all to replace this part.
