Description: High end Henredon “18th Century Portfolio” Collection Breakfront Walnut China Cabinet. Striking piece made during Henredon’s peak as a high-end furniture manufacturer. Retails for $18,000 in today's market. Classic Breakfront Georgian in design, but instead of traditional mahogany, the piece is veneered in dramatically figured walnut, with banded edges and accents in mahogany. The veneer has been intentionally patterned to highlight variations in the wood tone - lighter pieces have been placed next to darker ones. The cornice has a finely detailed frieze that is gothic in design. The upper doors have arched tops, with the same half circle design at the doors’ bases, each with a beautifully inlaid fan motif. The glass is beveled, and each door opens to a section with three heavy adjustable glass shelves. The upper cabinets are illuminated, with an interior off/on switch in the inside of the upper right cabinet. The interior has a very amber tone when the lights are turned on.The base has four doors, the center two opening to three flatware and linen drawers. The outer doors are open storage (these two cabinets appear to have had a wood shelf, which is no longer present). In immaculate condition. Structurally perfect - no damage or repairs. The color is even on all sides - no fading. No nicks, dings or other issues to the wood.The electric is excellent. Two of the glass shelves each have a very small, shallow chip - otherwise without issues - no scratching or wear.Dimensions: 84” tall. 76.5” wide at the cornice and base, 15” deep at the sides and 16.5” deep at the center.
