Newberg, MD is currently the Director of Research at the Marcus Institute of Integrative Health and the Department of Integrative Medicine and Nutritional Sciences at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University. He is also a Professor in the Departments of Emergency Medicine and Radiology. Dr. Newberg has actively pursued a number of neuroimaging research projects which have included the study of aging and dementia, epilepsy, and other neurological and psychiatric disorders. He has also studied the more general mind/body relationship including understanding the physiological correlates of acupuncture, meditation, and other types of integrative therapies.
