Description: For sale is a 45 RPM vinyl single from John Denver titled "Back Home Again b/w It's Up To You", originally released in 1974 by RCA Records. I bought this single used, professionaly cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put it into an archival inner sleeve, then it was put into a storage box for seven inch 45 RPM vinyl records, that was kept under optimum conditions for both temperature and humidity until today. The generic Inner sleeve is graded as Near Mint. In the dead wax between the labels and the last track is etched an upper case "I", followed by the matrix numbers 3-S/3-S, indicating that early stampers were used to make this record at RCA's pressing plant, located in Indianapolis, Indiana. These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound quality. The vinyl is visually graded as Excellent because of superficial sleeve marks, but still with surfaces that are shiny and bright, in a like-new condition, without any surface scratches or scuffs. I'm play grading this record between Very Good Plus (Side One) and Very Good (Side Two) because of low levels of surface noise. Side Two has some occasional ticking. It plays all the way through without any skips or lock-ups from start to finish. You would be hard pressed to find a copy of this record in this condition, especially an Indianapolis pressing.
