Description: Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Lindberg North American XB-70 Valkyrie Bomber 1:169 Scale Model Kit No. 567-100 Lindberg Products, Inc., Skokie, IL. Made in USA. Circa 1963. 1:196 scale plastic model kit. Lindberg Line logo. This is a seldom seen original issue of the North American XB-70 Valkyrie bomber, meant to replace the B-52 and B-58 in SAC. Only 2 examples were ever built before the project was cancelled. The surviving plane is still on display in Dayton, OH. This box with the $1.00 price is the later issue (the first was $.98). This kit is nearly complete with many parts still on trees. Includes clear canopy. It is only missing the “stand wire”, part #32, which was a small piece of aluminum wire that connected the stand to the plane. It can be easily reproduced if you intend to assemble it. Otherwwise this kit is complete and unassembled. The decal sheet is very clean. The instructions have a few very small worm holes but no rips or tears. The bosx has no broken corners and the bottom has 2 slight bends. The box cover has only 2 slight bends on the sides with light fading but the top has good color. Note: Later re-issues of this kit are described as 1:180 scale. Lindberg never posted the scale on any box variations or instructions but I believe it is closer to 1:169 scale as noted in the John Burns Model Kit Guide. Near Mint in Box condition Grid in photos is made up of 1 inch squares Combined shipping always applied for multiple purchases.
