Description: This lot of 16 comics includes one comic book from the first 1977 What If? series and fifteen comic books from the second 1989 What If? series. All of these come from my personal collection, which was created through subscriptions and purchases at my local comic book store, Showcase Comics in Bryn Mawr, PA, each comic was bagged & boarded shortly after I purchased it, and each comic has been residing in a long box. Other than What If? #46 (1st series, 1977): Spider-Man's Uncle Ben Had Lived?, which I purchased a few years after it was published in 1984, I purchased these comics at the time of their publication. Each of these is a great reimagining of the canonical stories of the heroes (and villains) involved, and the comic books came long before Disney + decided to do the animated series. The Watcher is essentially the narrator for most of these comics, though I can't remember if the Watcher is in #99 and #100 of the 2nd series (I haven't opened & read any of these in at least 20 years).
