Description: This is one of the largest brachiopods found in the Devonian Silica shale. This Megastrophia concavus is about almost 2 inches long (55 mm) and preserved in pyrite or Fool's gold. I think this is from the famous Sylvania, Ohio quarries, but it's possibly from Milan, Michigan Silica shale exposures. Please reach out if you have any questions or would like additional pictures.
