Description: Mexican Folk Art Pottery Plaza De Toros Signed Ortega The lively scene brings to life a bustling bullring with spectators and musicians, and you can almost hear the cheers and music. The bullfighter, the bull, the spectators, and the mariachi band are all colorfully depicted. On the roof of the small mariachi house, the words “PLAZA DE TOROS” (meaning “bullring”) are written, and on the back, the name “ORTEGA” is inscribed. With fine wire, the Mexican flag and birds (one bird is missing) are displayed as if floating. Each detail is carefully painted, from the faces of the spectators to the outfits of the bullfighter and mariachi band, showing the artisans’ dedication to their craft. This is a pre owned handmade folk art in great condition but a little dusty. Minus one of the birds missing all pieces are there: Mariachi band: 4 members Spectators: 13 Bull and matador Other than the missing bird no other piece is chipped or cracked This is a very delicate piece that will be packaged in the appropriate box to avoid breakage during shipping. Price in shipping will reflect the extra level of care.
