Description: Extremely RARE - Marble's Safety Axe Co. ( M.S.A. Co. ) Gladstone, Mich. U.S.A. 1902 FIRST Model Safety Hunting Knife as shown in our photos. We acquired this safety knife along with many other Marble's products from the estate of a Norther Michigan collector who recently passed away. This Marble's knife was manufactured with a 5" blade, Gutta Percha ( Hardened Black Rubber ) handles and heavy "U" designed bolsters. The handle is decorated with a Caribou and Cougar in a stand-off while the opposite side has scrolled Marble Safety Axe. Co. Gladstone, Mich. U.S.A. The blade is clearly stamped M.S.A. Co. Gladstone, Mich. and the safety guard is marked " Pat. Allowed ". This has the ball tipped hilt and is in excellent condition considering its age. These First Model Safety Knives are nearly impossible to find and this example is one of the very nicest to have ever been offered on E-bay. Lucky indeed will be the collector who can add this sensational knife to their collection. As always at Fall Creek Collection, please feel free to contact us with any other question or concern.....thank you
