Unlike a traditional diffusion or soft focus filter, Pro-Mist filters provide little loss of detail across the image. Grade 1/4 filters provide more contrast and highlight reduction than Grade 1/8, but less than Grade 1/2 filters while still providing a soft, pastel-like quality of light. This filter is part of Tiffen's Magnetic Control System (MCS) which allows filters to be swapped instantly rather than being slowly and tediously unscrewed and screwed in like conventional filters, saving valuable time when shooting in the moment.
