Description: Non dug Confederate local Mississippi Militia Civil War coat button. The front has a centered 5-point star surrounded by MISSISSIPPI *. It has an uncleaned brown and gold patina with gilt highlights and some use wear. It has a local type back with a depressed blank channel and a straight copper shank.
