Description: This is an original Connecticut New Haven Railroad poster by Ben Nason circa 1942. This poster measures roughly 27.75 x 42 inches and including the linen backing, it measures roughly 29.75 x 44 inches. This poster shows a wonderful countryside scene of a river moving its way past a bridge, farm, golf course, and quaint town, towards the ocean in the distance. The poster has fantastic detail showing people enjoying the Connecticut outdoors with scenes of people sailing, canoeing, biking, and sitting on the beach. Of all the Ben Nason New Haven posters, this is one of the hardest to find and one of the more beautiful. This is a very rare poster. This poster is in great condition and has been professionally linen backed. Before linen backing / restoration there was minor missing paper from the lower left corner (this was only white paper on the border), a small tear between the letters R and A in "railroad", minor tears on the border, border wear, minor creasing, minor surface wear, pinholes in the top corners, and general wear.
