Description: Original Phan-art print for the PHISH New Year's Eve webcast 2021. This poster (#2 of 22) was hand-printed from hand-carved wooden printing blocks and antique printing type onto 11"x17" cream card stock. Printed in a limited edition of 22, signed and numbered by the artist R Henry of RiverShack Studios who explains the inspiration for this poster: [Phish had cancelled their NYE gig at Madison Square Garden due to Omicron- No MSG! I was bumming pretty hard- “Don’t they know we need a show!?” I asked myself. I was becoming bitter because as a band, they hadn’t done a single live webcast (in lieu of a cancelled concert) since the pandemic began- What gives!?” I griped hopelessly, yet just when all seemed lost, the band announced that they would after all, be doing a NYE Webcast- and it would be for FREE! A voice from the Halloween show echoed in my head, “Why would you doubt me?”- I knew I had to do a print for this Webcast as a penance for my lack of faith in the greatest band around! I set out at once, pulling an all-niter to get them done before the show. MSG had been cancelled and as far as I knew, no one was printing anything specifically for the Webcast. I know many phans who won’t collect prints from a show they did not see, and I knew that we needed a print to commemorate this strange moment in time, this other NYE show! I chose the “Eye of Providence” to speak to the band’s omniscience- Phish, as the monolithic juggernaut they’ve become- “How dare you doubt me!”] Great price for a killer poster done by hand- No photoshop or automation involved in the printing process!
