Description: Vintage 1990's Pillsbury Doughboy Figure With Upgrade Novelty Head. These figures start out as a vintage 1990's Pillsbury Doughboy figure commonly found and collected, although the 1990's figures are less common than the 1971 figures. No pristine 1990's Doughboy figures are used, just the ones that may be a little less collectible condition wise. A vintage early original Doughboy head was available and castings were made, (last photo). An original body was available as well but it was decided it was too fragile to mess with. The bodies are cleaned, reinforced internally with epoxy and hand painted with proper colors/texture. The heads are molded off of a vintage original and cast in resin. The size of the casted heads are perfect in scale to the bodies as 2 other vintage original heads that were available were not as much, one was a little smaller and one was a little larger. The hats are hand made in linen and white cotton canvas in the early Doughboy style. The base is painted wood. These are not mass produced, this is the closest most of us will ever get to owning an original. Here's the disclaimer: These are NOT original screen used Doughboys. They are an artistic restoration of a vintage 1990's Doughboy body with head castings off of a vintage original. Doughboy height approx. 9" with base.
