Description: PLANK ROAD BREWERY ICEHOUSE BREWERY IN WINTER ON DRAFT draft beer tap handle. A tribute to the original Plank Road brewery in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Now Miller/Coors. Originally founded by Frederick Miller in 1855. He brought his German yeast strain over to America an purchased the Plank Road Brewery. He changed the name to Miller Brewing that same year. This beer was first created in 1994 after resurrecting the Plank Road Brewery name for Icehouse and Red Dog. Trying to sell them as premium beers under a different name not so closely associated with the Miller brand. Icehouse lager. 5.5%ABV. Ice brewed with a bolder taste. Not sure when they stopped making this. Tap is listed as used but it remains in excellent condition. No signs of wear and it looks amazing! Close to 30 years old now. A real beauty. A miniature version of the original Plank Road Brewery in winter sitting on a pillow of powdery snow on top of a crisp pilsner of Icehouse beer. View from the front and the back is different. Front appears like a house with the year above the windows. Rear shows the Icehouse name and loading dock with wooden barrels. A large blue Icehouse sign mounted to the roof. Very nice. I would not be selling this but I have another one. Stands 12-1/2 inches tall. Tap has been turned and rotated so that all sides are shown. Please look carefully at all the photos.
