Description: This is a great 1935 dated US Navy photo album for a sailor named Luciano Kena of the USS Trenton. There are 70 original photographs in the album. Most depict the time-honored celebration that occurs during the Neptune Rex ceremonies aboard ship, but there are also photos of ports of call, mainly Caracao. The album is in excellent condition with a very colorful ship depiction on the leather cover. It appears every photo is in place, with four extras that were never mounted. I see no missing photos from the corner mounts. Just a very nice example of one of these albums documenting this sailors time aboard ship. His name is unique enough that finding his muster rolls shouldn't be too hard. A great research opportunity. The Trenton was a light Cruiser that joined the Special Service Squadron in 1934 for a good will tour of Latin America. It did not return to the US until July 1940 when she carried the royal family of Luxembourg who were fleeing the Nazi occupation of their country.
