Description: PRESIDENT JAMES A. GARFIELD'S Memorabilia: Cleveland and the Garfield Memorial is an antique hardcover book from 1894 which details the history of the Garfield Memorial. It measures approximately 8 1/2" x 6 1/4" x 3/8." It has worn covers and spine. The pages are all attached although one section is very loose. The first page has a small piece missing. The second page has a date written in pencil. The bonuses include: MOTHER'S FUNERAL ADDRESS- 1888 (Eliza Ballou Garfield) plus BONUS PAMPHLET. This booklet consists of 15 pages which includes details regarding the memorial service for Garfield's mother as well as the memorial address made by Rev. B.A. Hinsdale and H.R. Cooley. It is in excellent condition and appears to have never been opened. The covers are clean and the pages are tightly bound. The Bonus Booklet is titled, "The Life and Character of James A. Garfield." Prepared by B. A. Hinsdale, President of Hiram College. This undated pamphlet consists of a folded large piece of paper. There is a rip at the top of the first page and the bottom corner has been folded over. These items would make a great addition to a collection of James A. Garfield memorabilia.
