Description: Primitive Vintage Woven Oak Splint Egg Gathering Buttocks Basket 13.5"x12.5"x15" This basket is from my personal collection that I am downsizing a bit. There are elements in the weaving that shows this was handmade. It is a wider, butterfly buttocks basket with a two-tone dying to the reeds, giving it a warm and primitive look. I have had this on display only and did not use it for holding anything. A wonderful addition to an Americana, Farmhouse, or Cottage style decor and can also be charming in a She-Shed for holding flowers, books, magazines, or sewing crafts. Condition: Excellent Pre-Owned Condition Observations: All the reeds are in place and no cracks, breaks, stains, or splintering are found. Each item is carefully double wrapped and packaged for strength and the ability to make it to its destination safely. I am a realist in that after the packages leave my care, they could be tossed, dropped, and have other packages thrown on them; despite the "fragile" warnings I apply to the outer panels of the boxes.
