Description: I believe this to be a vintage Bessler 22” E.F. unit for a large format (negative - 4” X 5”) enlarger. The copper tone metal housing (for the lenses) is completely undamaged (no dents/dings) and only exhibits normal (light) surface wear. The glass lens elements are clear but have a light (internal) accumulation of age acquired dust when viewed with an intense light source. This could be removed by unscrewing the rear threaded housing retainer ring and cleaning them. There is no evidence of internal housing moisture (mold/mildew) damage and I could see no fractures to the lens edges. When viewed at an angle in the light I can see that the exterior surface of the lenses have been cleaned as evidenced by light surficial scratches to the lens (surface) coatings. The lens unit is approximately 6” long by 4 5/8” in diameter. It weighs 4 pounds. Please refer to photos for quality and condition.
