Description: Up for sale is an EXTREMELY RARE Vintage 1965 BLACK COVER EDITION Cassius Clay AKA “Muhammad Ali” Vs Sonny Liston Heavy weight Championship Boxing Match /Fight official Program. This piece is SIGNED by professional boxers Floyd Patterson & George Chuvalo. This program is so special because this particular fight was scheduled to take place at Boston Garden but later moved to Lewiston, Maine. This piece is exceptionally interesting Because of the history behind the previous fight, which was unexpected and some say controversial, boxing authorities ordered a second bout, this time with Cassius Clay (now Muhammad Ali) as the defending world champion and Liston as challenger. The fight was postponed until the following May and rescheduled for a site in Boston, Massachusetts. However, since the promoters did not have a license in Massachusetts, the fight eventually was held in a small auditorium in Lewiston, Maine, on May 25, 1965.
