These beautifully crafted ships were used during WWII (1939-1945) as a teaching tool. A true piece of History. Each cast metal (painted grey) model has amazing detail and really shows the craftsmanship of the era. The ships are identified on the underside of the wooden bases. These Rare Ship Models are in great condition for their age! A few metal parts may be slightly bent and/or have some paint chips but otherwise in excellent shape. There are No missing pieces from what I can tell.. Please look closely at the photos. The “crispness” of the ships details show this is most likely a low case number and one of the earliest to be made. The ship hulls are wood and the towers, guns, and other pieces are metal. They are stored in a blue/gray wooden case made for that particular set.
