Description: A Fully Restored Lovely Vintage Quadraflex 575 AM / FM Stereo Receiver. "Quadraflex = Quality Engineering, Lasting Value" Although this classic receiver is only rated at 12.5 watts, it is voiced well and was well made. Quality parts were used throughout and this would be perfect for any garage or small office where you want sleek looks with nice sound without a lot of power usage. It very much as a Harmon Kardon look to it. A true vintage item you will love the sound of. This Restoration Includes:1. A full examination and repair of any issues. Bad or suspicious solder connections were touched up. A leading cause of problems in vintage HiFi equipment. 2. All electrolytic capacitors have been replaced with Hi Quality replacements by Kemet, Wurtz, etc. 3. All Switches & Controls, RCA jacks and other connectors have been cleaned and lubricated to ensure proper connectivity. 4. The power amplifier section was checked and set for proper DC bias. 5. The FM IF & MPX Circuit Alignment was tested. 6. All incandescent lamps were replaced with modern LED versions. 7. Power amplifier Idle current & DC bias/offset voltages were tested and set to specifications. 8. All knobs were cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaner. 9. A full function and safety check was done. Why Recapping Matters.Imagine driving you car with bald tires that are coming apart. Just like tires, electrolytic capacitors change over time and diminish your sound quality like bald tires on the road. They kinda work but complex music becomes like rain on the road. And just like bald tires they can fail and cause catastrophic damage. Unlike tires however capacitors have a life time rating regardless of use. Non recapped vintage gear is running on borrowed time. Why Serviced/Restored MattersBy purchasing a serviced unit from us, you are assured that the jacks, switches and controls are cleaned and working. That the circuit boards are checked for bad solder connections and repaired (a leading cause of problems) and known to fail devices are replaced to ensure against noisy devices or sudden failure and other issues. Buying pre-serviced gear is always a better, safer and more convenient value. "Working" does not mean it sounds as good as it should or help it continue to last. Why settle for less? "Fully Restored"Sadly I have seen this phrase used when it should not be. This does not mean repaired to work or serviced. This does not mean we checked some capacitors and they seemed OK. To be "Fully Restored" means at least most all wearables like capacitors have been replaced. This means all switches and relays and controls have been cleaned and tested to be fully functional.
