Description: This is a rare set of original 11x17 vintage Soundgarden show flyers from 1991, advertising a show at the Capitol Theatre in Olympia, WA with Helltrout and Fitz of Depression. These pieces are a must-have for any Soundgarden fan or collector of rock & pop music memorabilia. The flyers are in good condition with no tears or holes, but each one does have a crease where they were folded in half. Even more unique is that there is a hand-written letter on the back of the posters from 9-9-91. My husband's friend traveled to Seattle where he picked these up. The letter proves provenance of the flyers, and is a mini history of early Seattle grunge rock. The friend mentions bands such as Seaweed, Skinyard, and how a friend of a friend played pool with Stone Gossard--of Mother Love Bone and Pearl Jam fame. He also mentioned the "new" Nirvana album coming out and recommends Nirvana's Chapel Hill show at Cat's Cradle. My husband went to that 10/4/91 show and has a picture of himself at the front of the stage facing Kurt Cobain. Since the letter spreads over both flyers, I'm selling as a set, but am also willing to sell each separately. Message me for individual pricing.
